#PretendPanel: because I have always loved to tell stories. My Barbies and TY dolls had such expansive lore that I don't think I could have ever explained to anyone else. Writing is just an attempt to capture some of that imagination and get it on a page. #writingcommunity #writesky

#pretendpanel I write mostly because it's fun and provides community through the writing circles I'm part of. It's also force of habit; not writing becomes uncomfortable if it goes on for long enough.

I know it's a cliché, but I write because I'm compelled to write. From the age of 3, I made up stories while staring out the car window. And once I knew how to write, I put them down on paper. From 2nd grade through high school, teachers suggested being a writer. It's who I am. 🤷‍♀️ #PretendPanel

Hello #pretendpanel I’ve always had stories to tell but recently writing has become a lifeline for me. When I write I am more grounded and less likely to experience a panic attack that day unless there’s a huge triggering event. Writing and meds took me from 5-6 panic attacks a day down to zero.

I’m so excited to share this beautiful artwork of Rowynn and Zi, created by Calesia (IG)! Zi, demon prince of the world of dreams, introduces Rowynn to his observatory. From Book 2, Star of Shalik. Enter the series today—Book 3 kickstarter is live. Help their story continue! #BookSky #FantasyBooks
I’m so excited to share this beautiful artwork of Rowynn and Zi created by Calesia! I’m absolutely in LOVE with them.

Zi and Rowynn are from Book 2 of The Chrysillium Saga, Star of Shalik, and this scene was voted as a favorite by readers!

Tucked away, deep inside the world of dreams, is a palace on the glittering Alakarian Sea. Here the demon Zi resides and observes the cosmos to guide the dreamers that climb from the sea seeking his council. Rowynn did not go willingly with Zi to Alakar--the world of dreams. Zi pulled her there to protect her, but up until this scene she is not happy about that. In this scene, Zi introduces Rowynn to his observatory and she begins to open to the wonder around her and to the idea that, perhaps, Zi might indeed be able to help her understand her new-found powers.

Both of these characters return in Book 3, the Mycellium Forest.

The Chrysillium Saga is for readers who love:

🌲 star-born trees
✨ celestial and natural magic
🌊 dark palaces upon glittering seas
🏚️ a tiny cabin hidden in the woods
🌙 a mysterious demon prince of the World of Dreams
💰 a wealthy merchant who stands to lose everything—and is glad to do so
👑 a king of a magical people and the MC’s captors’ enemy

And so much more.

And now’s the perfect time to start or re-enter the series as the Book 3 Kickstarter is live!

THE MYCELLIUM FOREST is an atmospheric dark fantasy of ancient magic, forgotten histories, mysterious forests, and entwined destinies.

✨ Help bring Book 3 to life and continue Zi and Rowynn’s journey together! The Kickstarter is LIVE, with some awesome rewards for both new and returning readers.
Come explore the campaign—and enter the Chrysillium Saga. ✨

ACT NORMAL

Illusions drive my whole career;
recitations earn my cheers.
Though I rehearse each word I say
and dance in patterns everyday,
I've not traversed a stage in years.

The lines I speak are what I wrote
ignoring critics' ill-thought notes.
I craft my parts around the scene,
but they're my thoughts on what I seen,
'cause truth can come from showboats.

Magicians see the cards you're palming.
Actors always know you're acting.
Though their clapping's sometimes softest,
their participation's quite sincerest,
'cause they know you're up there dying.

#Septopolis 27 Usually this is pretty easy. Niona sets the laws and, as a god, is capable of enforcing compliance. Those who worship the gods all belong to them, at least a little bit. It isn't hard to force them to obey. And few would be foolish enough to defy her, trapped in her city.🧵

#Septopolis 27! Fireridge's police force take ACAB as a compliment. They ensure it remains true by only taking recruits who score high on aggression tests and low on IQ tests. In Two Weeks, I'm launching my upcoming novel, The Witch of Eden Hollow. This here is one of my favorite Elias snippets, a witch that has long suffered from profound grief that hindered his ability to trust again. 🌈📚 Uni link: books2read.com/u/mZR9kD Itch: gt-anthony.itch.io/witch-x-hunter
Background image: an autumn forest (credit: royalty free photo by Joe Pelenio via pixabay)
The book cover for The Witch of Eden Hollow by G.T. Anthony is on the left:
A forest green cover with golden font. In the center is a ring made of woven branches with wilted vines wrapped around it. In the middle is a brown hair. Behind the hare is a patch of daisies.

Excerpt on the right:
He would have wanted this. He would have wanted life to move forward, to grow. He would have wanted to keep seeing the leaves change from blossoms to greenery to golden to bare, just for time to bring back the blossoms soon after. Life was cruel, yes, but Elias did not have to let that bind him.

He could still live while his son could not. He did not have to wither in defeat.

A smile passed on Elias’ lips. He took in the fresh air, his laughter light. And it grew. His joy filled him, refreshing him faster than the deepest drafts of water. Life could be beautiful again. He could *live.* It was not too late to have hope.

Elias dropped to his knees, his laughter devolving to sobs.

#WIPSnips -Blood Price (TaMB 4)- Zhi's primary job is learning how vampiric 'Reading' works. Their ability to learn about their victims /and those who influenced/ their victims. Sulaf is finally dangling some real information... for a price. My Books: pjccahill.carrd.co
She looked down at her clipboard. She crossed out her original question two, and noted something else in its place. "Question two: What influence does the brain have on your ability to sense your victims?"
Sulaf grinned. It exposed her rows of sharp teeth. So close to starvation as she was, her body was desperately ready to feed. She didn't bother masking her fangs to be human-like. "It's like rivers carrying gemstones out of the mountains, Zhi. I drink from the river, I catch some gemstones in my hand, and they tell me about the mountains."
Zhi squinted askance, but wrote that down without debate at first. "That's not a complete answer yet. You only gave me a metaphor."
Sulaf pouted. "Damn, you caught me."
Zhi hadn't phrased her challenge as a question, so it couldn't be part of the twenty.
With Sulaf admitting it, Zhi openly smirked, fully smug and self-satisfied.
Sulaf's grin returned. Oh, the game was definitely on now.
With a ragged inhale, Sulaf continued, "Blood cycles and circulates. Some of it goes through the brain, picks up traces of things, like some of the signals between neurons. Spillover. Excess. Flushed waste. The more of that I take in with the blood, the better the read. A river from the mountain."
Zhi was frozen with the revelation. Part of her mind barely understood that Sulaf could be lying, that this could be utter nonsense (neurons didn't work that way, the blood-brain barrier fought exactly against that...), but the signals of sincerity -- the game being in play -- shocked the rest of her. This might be the breakthrough she'd been struggling toward for years.

Second panel: The Flux Capacitor is busted. Doc: "That's not all, Marty! The Flux Capacitor was heavily damaged. To fix it, we'll need pure medical grade copper, at least 99.9%!"
Top right: Doc: "Luckily, it looks like we crashed on the outskirts of the ancient city of Ur. If we can find good quality copper anywhere in this era, it's here."
Bottom left: "Later..." The Flux Capacitor is fixed. "I don't understand. I've repaired the Flux Capacitor to exact specifications. Why isn't it working? Why isn't it taking us Back to the Future?"
Bottom Center: Doc and Marty stand by the Time Machine. Marty is holding a long piece of paper. Doc: "Oh no! Quick, Marty! Let me see that receipt!" Marty: "What's wrong, Doc?"
Bottom right: Doc holds the receipt. Doc: "Great Scott!" The receipt reads, "RECEIPT: QUALITY COPPER PROVIDED BY EA-NASIR."
