The best advice I can give fellow readers is this: Don't be afraid to DNF a book you aren't enjoying. Read the last ten pages and see how it ends, if you must, but life's too short to waste time reading books you hate.

You know what's odd? Gaiman was, despite being incredibly talented, pretty effectively cancelled. We let go of him fairly easily. Rowling's work, on the other hand, is extraordinarily mediocre, but we can't seem to get rid of her. It's the strangest thing!

I've been doing a very, very late spring cleaning, and it turns out my entire physical library is forty-four books. Seventeen of those are vintage and not to be regularly handled, three are in Japanese (which I cannot read), and a few of them are double or even triple copies of books I already own 😅
