Broadly enough defined that it could include Asian Art History
Position description

The Department of History of Art, University of California, Berkeley invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Arts of the Medieval World, tenure-track, with an expected start date of July 1, 2027.

The Department seeks candidates maintaining an active research agenda in the study of the Arts of the Medieval World, broadly defined. The position is open in terms of geographical and chronological focus, welcoming a range of local, regional, transregional, or comparative approaches to the study of art and the built environment in Africa, Asia, and/or Europe from the 7th to the 15th century. Candidates' teaching and research might also engage historic trade routes, sites of pilgrimage, axes of scholarly exchange, or itineraries of conquest and enslavement, such as the Trans-Saharan Trade, the Indian Ocean System, or the Silk Road. The department seeks applicants whose scholarship advances new insights on circulation, transmission, translation, reuse/adaptation, and material cultures across overlapping medieval worlds. Candidates' teaching and research should demonstrate engagement with the changing dynamics of the discipline both methodologically and topically, including, among others, studies of race, disability, empire, ecology, gender, sexuality, and the digital humanities.

The Supreme Court still didn't define sex, they just added an adjective in front thinking that's enough. Given the novelty of DNA and genetic testing in 1972, would the ordinary public meaning of sex at the time really mean genetics or observed external characteristics? We know it's the latter.
A screenshot of a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Jesse Singal (@jessesingal). The text reads: "The question of which arguments took root within trans activism, how they quickly became unquestionable within liberal settings, and how profoundly they failed at every level *outside* of liberal settings... it seems important! Haven't seen anything quite like it."
The post is quote-tweeting another user, Dan McLaughlin (@baseballcrank), whose post reads: "To understand how the trans athletes lost even the liberal justices on Title IX, recall how their lawyer got massacred by Alito on the question of how you can have girls sports teams without knowing who is & isn't a girl:"

Enjoy this article from a Minnesota newspaper in 1882 noting that Scandinavians love their home countries so much that it will take them generations to assimilate into America. www.loc.gov/resource/sn8...
SCANDINAVIANS
No people on earth, probably excel the Scandinavians, and scarcely any equal them, unless it may be the Swiss mountaineers, in attachment to their native country. The Scandinavian emigrant
brings with him to this country, not only his love of home, but his attachments to customs and habits of his old home. So
strong is this passion that it is hard for him to assimilate to the customs of his new home, and to conform to the ideas of American citizenship, but he remains in his adopted land, a foreigner, in all that pertains to his modes, manners, habits,
likes and dislikes. This peculiar habit of our Scandinavian fellow citizens, and this strong, over-mastering attachment to their native land, has not been generally known and appreciated by our own citizens, "to the manor born."
It will take several generations to wear away this foster land attachment, and to assimilate the Scandinavian emigrant, and
absorb him into the language, habits, customs and true idea of a homogeneous American citizenship.
