The fact is, male culture IS rape culture, and we need to call it out where we see it, even if ‘where we see it’ just appears to be off-colour comments or ‘banter’. This is actually happening and it’s not ok. bsky.app/profile/dela...

ALL men benefit from male violence, because it allows you to think you’re a good person because you haven’t assaulted a woman. That does not make you a good person, but you have collectively put that bar in hell.

Agreed. I think it even goes beyond attributing sentience to the bots: if a breeder of guard dogs had two separate dogs escape and attack children, we wouldn't say that the breeder did it, but we would hold them responsible. I don't think this is a news story so much as an OpenAI sales pitch:

This is a bit like the Danish position isn’t it? . We’re not racist, but if we don’t do what the racists want the racists vote for people to do what the racists want therefore we have to do what the racists want even though we don’t want to do it?

DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

One morning in secondary school we came into Hall to find a rock band had set up(!!!). Much discussion - my friend said it was the Rolling Zeppelins, ho ho. Actually it was Pace, a soft-rock combo whose songs were all about their special friend, Jesus. (It wasn't a religious school, not remotely.)

Oh my G-d the Jerusalem Post is blaming NAZA on George Soros. You can't make this stuff up. "This film about our war crimes is antisemitic because a Jewish billionaire secretly financed it" is just next level shit
Open Society Foundations were founded by George Soros, who, according to the organization, has given them more than $32 billion of his personal fortune since 1984.

The documented chain is real, but must be described precisely: Soros founded and financed Open Society; Open Society granted hundreds of thousands of dollars to Local Call; and NAZA, according to its directors, draws partly on investigations published by Local Call, +972 Magazine, and The Guardian.

I invite followers to consider the tone and intensity of responses to 1) An accusation of plagiarism against a black academic 2) A senior policeman banning fascist hooligans from a football match 3) Relentless fascist street organisation and rioting, with attendant media coverage egging them on
Otto English • @ottoenglish.bsky.social • 1h
The balaclava blackshirted thugs are a result of a decade of politicians, tabloids and the broadcast media telling racists they have
"legitimate concerns."
The normalisation of actual fascism rhetoric and action has led to this and is a far greater
"legitimate concern" than any migrant on a boat.
