Sir Ian McKellen orates 'The Stranger's Case' from 'Sir Thomas More' by Shakespeare about the Evil May Day xenophobic riot of 1517 in London. This passage was written 400 years ago, but times never change. Humanity refuses to change its unwarranted bias against 'others'.

I will never, *ever* purchase a game with this 'functionality'.
A tweet from Dexerto stating: "Microsoft has filed a patent for ads that could interrupt games after boss fights, cutscenes, quests and multiplayer rounds. Players would receive credits granting temporary game access, while watching an ad would award another credit to let them resume." The image shows the Microsoft logo on the left and a patent flowchart on the right labeled "FIG. 3". The flowchart contains the following text: 326, 328: Obtaining a promoted content trigger from an interactive software application based at least partially on content of the interactive software application, 330: Suspending a user's interaction with the interactive software application based on the promoted content trigger event, 332: Obtaining audiovisual promoted content, 334: Presenting the audiovisual promoted content to the user, 336: Commencing the user's interaction with the interactive software application, 338: Establishing a credit based at least partially on the audiovisual promoted content.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

If we learned anything from covid, please let it be that we draw a line in the sand and don't stand for any efforts to politicize public health. Everything that happened, the current antivaxer situation included, is downstream from the media treating a pandemic like it was a team sport.

The worst part of the Assisted Dying debate is people assuming it’s black and white. They think if you oppose the policy, you oppose giving people the choice. I support the right to die. What I don’t support is offering it to disabled people instead of medical treatment.

Behind their heads are a neon sign that reads, "Drink Responsibly (or don't...) The Llama Knows" and a printed sign that reads "Same Bad Ideas Different People." The corner of the TV above Kash's head shows a news broadcast with the chyron "Politics: Everything is Fine."

NEW: DHS's Inspector General releases a scathing report about the Everglades detention camp known as "Alligator Alcatraz." The OIG finds that the now-closed camp, violated multiple ICE standards. The OIG also confirms detainees were punished with placement in a metal cage in the Florida heat.🧵
OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Staff also reported that time spent in the small metal enclosures is closely monitored, and
detainees are not locked in, even though we observed locking mechanisms on the enclosures.
Figures 11 and 12. Small Metal Enclosures; Observed January 21, 2026

Underneath is a picture of a metal cage that is 4 feet 3 inches wide by 4 feet 3 inches long, and 7 feet 9 inches high. The cage itself is placed on a tiny spot of fake turf, and then surrounded by another chainlink fence with razor wire on top. The cage is covered by a roof, but it's entirely exposed to the outside otherwise, meaning mosquitos and no air conditioning.
