you should feel uncomfortable with frontier AI models not because the tools lack uses but because everyone who works in hyperscale AI wants to worship these machines and every algorithm that behaves unexpectedly is an enfant terrible they admire, love, and hope to have care for them in their dotage

A lot of people have been very mad at me this week. After listening to my stakeholders, I am declaring a state of vibes emergency, and instituting a mad at me curfew. Citizens are no longer permitted to be mad at me beginning Monday (10/5) and ending Friday (10/9)

In 1969, a large sculpture of a lipstick on tank threads was installed in the middle of campus as a monument to free speech. In the wake of Yale’s new rules limiting public assembly, today students built their own new version of this iconic piece of art.

Securitization theory rocks because you’ll read a journal article that’s like “here’s how a subtle mosaic of powerful interests lead to this specific delegation of power as a foreign policy strategy” and then you go on LinkedIn and it’s like “plastics in our bloodstream are killing the warfighter”
