How many Arsenal teams in the past have we seen who would eventually crumble in a game like that, with a crowd like that, with opposition like that, with a ref like that? We should not underestimate what a fucking tough nut to crack we are these days.

Full of despair today. Massive lay offs in social sciences and humanities across the country, Burnham puts out a video saying 'AI can write an essay', and my university is busy integrating co-pilot into all staff and student computers. We are being told we're defunct and there's no resistance.

Rodri can control entire midfield battles on his own and he's in there with Fabián Ruiz, who was the best player at Euro 2024 and has since been at the heart of the midfield that has won back-to-back Champions Leagues. He's still so underrated but those two running a big game shouldn't be surprise.

This many people all in one place and next to no disorder is also something that’s to be celebrated. Paris can’t do this. Their team WON the Champions League and we have reports of hundreds of arrests and scores of injuries. Not here. People try to do down London but it’s a truly special place.

The thing about Reform's success is this: whatever their political future, whether they have peaked or not, it is hard to express just how unpleasant the resurgence of their sentiments actually is. I grew up in Greater London in the 1990s, and a lot o that time was very grim. And it's back.

Also, is there a more miserable way to watch football than on Premier Sports? Kenny Cunningham is the most miserable bastard on earth, Damien Duff not far behind. Had to turn the sound off, which is a shame to miss the crowd enjoying it, but those two would kill any fucking buzz you had.

Why let the facts get in the way of a good story? Arsenal have their issues which are fair game for discussion. But a widely shared graphic which is factually bonkers is not a sensible basis for criticism. Bizarre to omit 93% of wins. Check facts before believing everything you see!

I pay extra attention to throw-ins these days, as I believe they are a key indicator of a team's mindset and confidence. Arsenal were shocking in that respect as well, with no players asking for the ball, sometimes even running away from the thrower when in a decent position. "Not me, please"!

We've been through too many "let's not talk about this match again" wins and draws. Even though results looked okay, the run was bad. Serious work needs to be done on mentality, focus, and getting everyone healthy. We know we are better than this.

Let's be absolutely clear about one thing: Arsenal haven't really played well for months. No matter who has played or who the opposition has been. Find it hard not to feel like the rest of the season is just about somehow, no matter what it takes, finding a way to get over the line.

I haven't felt good about Arsenal since the turn of the year but any and all concerns were constantly batted away. You just get a feeling watching a team - we haven't been playing well, we haven't looked good for months now. It's not negativity. It's just saying what you see.

Terrible. The game was lost because Pep could basically put a narrow front-four in front of a midfield two and dare the rest to play around or over, and there wasn't enough technical security to do that. Hoofing is a contagion.

What a time to put in our worst 45 mins of the season. Awful error from Kepa for the 1st, far too passive defensively for the 2nd, but City had been well on top after the break and the pressure they put us under paid off. Very, very disappointing after a fairly solid 1st half. We deserved nothing

That was horrible really. We played poorly, but defended stoutly 2nd half. But it's a HUGE night in the title race, a massive win for Arsenal and City have dropped points. Results wise, it could hardly be better. And Fabian Hurzeler is very unhappy, which adds the icing to this particular cake.

Yeah, having now slept on it properly, it is weird that no losing parties statement really reckons with why people might have chosen the Greens and instead they all chose to blame sectarianism. It does suggest that they still don't really recognise people who vote Green as, you know, real people.

What a second half that was from Arsenal. We had to improve, we really did, and this felt like something of a statement. Someone was due a proper beating, and to do it against the form team in the league is really important. Give us distance over Villa and Man City. We needed this, huge win!

Saka was an unused sub in the 2020 FA Cup final when he was two months older than Nwaneri is now. Nwaneri will turn 19 in March and already has more Arsenal appearances (50) than Saka (42) when he turned 19. Nwaneri has much more competition than Saka had. There's nothing to be concerned about.
