Control Resonant is a game about coming out of lockdown, finding out that people had entirely forgotten how to behave considerately in public, and hitting them with a big stick.

“Bongo” Ballpoint pen, pencil, watercolor, acrylic paint, and a little colored pencil.

Our man is in trouble this time, reader. Art supplies are scattered around a painting of an abstract cityscape. On the canvas we see a man in a telephone booth making a frantic call to his cat, Bongo. In the foreground, an answering machine is taking his voicemail, [Leave a message at the beep] --- “Bongo, Daddy got stuck in the painting. Go get help, Bongo.” Bongo stands at the base of the easel looking at the phone. Her tail in the air and ears perked up. Whether she’ll be able to help is open to interpretation.

Artist’s note: One of my favorites from the Spooky Pants book. I was playing around with the idea of a painting coming to life (like that guy in Ghostbusters 2) and kind of fumbled my way into this version. I really draw a lot of corded phones. I won’t stop.

So glad you're enjoying it Ed, really love Remedy's world building in these ones (partly redacted paranormal strangeness and petty HR complaints) and they've very much still got it in Control Resonant

Very glad I signed up to the Deathbed newsletter - reading @dankmccoy.bsky.social's short story Sheep this morning was a fun, spooky way to start the day, with some killer lines - "He’d tried memory foam, and foam he was sure couldn’t pick him out in a line-up." deathbed.ghost.io/sheep/

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

100% the vibe that Lanterns poster gives off
A two panel cartoon the first showing someone peeing at a urinal, and a second person walking past. Second panel shows rhe second person peeing at the Urinal next to the first. Underneath that is the Lanterns poster with Hal Jordan looking straight forward and John Stewart giving him the angry side eye, the ol’ hairy eyeball.

This sounds ideal. Thought I'd take a punt on it as I've never really given an FE game a proper go, and quite fancy having something massive on the go that I can dip into and accomplish things in small bursts!

New desk has a bizarre glass viewing panel into one of the drawers and I didn’t know what to put there so currently I have the Snorlax plush I’ve had since I was a kid lying in state.
A glass viewing panel on a desk, Snorlax is peacefully resting in the drawer.

Three panel comic. Panel 1: an exhausted detective leans over his desk with a spread of paperwork and folders. He says, “I’m in too deep. Where is the Spaghetti Man?” Panel 2: on a photograph littered among the evidence, a single small drop of marinara sauce drops with a “plip!” Panel 3: viewed from below, the detective examines the drop of sauce with his finger. Behind him, in a ceiling corner, a rotund chef with a mustache - presumably the Spaghetti Man - holds himself like a spider against the walls.

Really enjoyed the latest Star Trek: SNW, after a few too many episodes this season with the wacky dial turned all the way up. And I continue to be a little surprised (and impressed) at how gory this season has been too - though I'm nos noticing a new producer in the credits, one Mr P. Inhead?
