We have to surrender our new kitten back to the rescue today. After 2 months, our senior cat’s anxiety and stress haven’t gotten any better and she’s getting worsening behavioural and health problems from them. It breaks my heart, but we have to do right by her. It still hurts like hell though.

A simple skincare routine is better than one full of actives - e.g: a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF in the morning, and the same cleanser and moisturizer at night. Spot treat with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Irritated/dry skin produces more oil and breaks out more easily.

Went to Kelowna to visit family for the weekend and it’s super cool and fun for my travel anxiety to have ratcheted up to “debilitating” for an under 1hr flight. I don’t even have a fear of flying, it is literally all just “getting to the airport” logistics anxiety, and it is STUPID.

It’s so disappointing when restaurants with beautiful and delicious food go the AI slop route with their advertising. My favourite pizza place started doing this and it’s so stupid. All they’d need is a photographer and minimal design, and the food would sell itself, but I guess they’re cheap/lazy.

I’ve been back at work for just about a month, and there’s a lot of normalization of using AI in project management workflows/tools. The only good use I’ve seen for it is transcribing meeting notes, which is menial and I always hate doing it. Otherwise, it’s been very easy to just use my brain!!
