Democrats keep voting for tighter gun control bills, and their states have vastly tighter gun laws (many of which continue to be undermined by conservative Supreme Court decisions) than red ones. So it's not "the establishment," it's the Republican gun cult.

Full update from our team. We STILL do not have admin access to the account.

The No Kings Instagram account has been reactivated, but administrators have not yet regained access.

We now know that Meta pulled down the account. For approximately 90 minutes, Meta did not respond to our team, even as the account was offline at the peak of our national day of action and livestream. The account is now viewable again, and Meta told us in their response email that they made a bad call.

However, administrators are still unable to access the account, blocking our ability to post about an ongoing day of mass action for early voting. Meta is currently not allowing the team to log in using the No Kings email address originally associated with the account. The team is troubleshooting that issue now.
This is not OK.

This is part of a much bigger concern: activists and movements around the world are increasingly vulnerable to decisions made by powerful technology platforms that can determine who gets heard and who gets silenced.

We will close the loop once our team is fully back in the account. This remains a developing situation.

I'm actually impressed by how awful this statement is by Netanyahu: he implicitly claims that the settler terrorist attack on the French, Belgian, and Polish diplomats was fake or somehow staged, and then blames the 78-year-old French mayor for being beaten because he once flew the Palestinian flag.

ALLEGED ATTACK ON EUROPEAN DIPLOMATS: SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS REQUIRE SERIOUS EVIDENCE.

We urge caution before drawing conclusions from today's reports that European diplomats were attacked by masked Israelis in Judea and Samaria. Any violence against diplomats is unacceptable. The more serious the accusation, the greater the demand for compelling evidence.

Here is what we know:
- The diplomatic delegation entered a sensitive area with a history of confrontations without prior coordination with the IDF, as officially confirmed by the military. Such coordination is essential to protecting visiting diplomats and preventing violence.
- The visit included Bernard Baudoux, a French Communist Party mayor who previously raised the Palestinian flag over his municipal building, prompting French authorities to order its removal.

Apparently at around 1:30 PM ET, the main accounts for the No Kings coalition on Instagram were frozen and pulled down. Admins have lost access to the account and are unable to log in. This happened at the peak of the organization's national day of action. Instagram, of course, is owned by Meta.
