Open science for human readers should not mean mandatory, unconsented data harvesting by commercial entities. Advancing scientific knowledge demands immense time, resources, and intellectual rigor — we deserve a say in whether our original work is fed into massive, opaque training sets.

This morning a driver crashed onto the sidewalk exactly where my kids walk past on the way to school. This happened shortly before they came along. I have asked my local @brumgreens.bsky.social councillor to demand that this road be closed to cars until the current road works are complete.

It’s absolutely fucking WILD that this was committed to writing, given that every Muslim and pro-Palestinian who appeared in the media from late 2023 onwards was asked whether they supported Hamas and required to renounce terrorism.

Asking Jews to pass a purity test and renounce self-determination according to a perverse interpretation arbitrarily applied, isn't just an extreme position, it's a racist one.

The Football Leaks emails are what lead to Manchester City being found guilty of obscene amounts of cheating. If I am remembering correctly, and I think I am, the documents leaked also contained legal ones involving Ronaldo, who has been accused of at least 5 rapes and sexual assaults.

Secondly, much AI ethics research has been defensively carried out in response to the urgent need to clean up after the tech industry. However, there is a need to bring politics to design to the forefront and frame an emancipatory research agenda to increase attention to the challenges facing vulnerable groups, i.e., those who are seldom heard despite being the ones most negatively affected by AI initiatives.
