As for the emotional part, being on the Online side of gamedev it always hurts to know that eventually, hosted backends will have to be shutdown and the cultural piece we worked so hard to create will disappear. Efforts toward game conservation, by any party, is a blessing. (4/4)

And by the way the dual-binary nature of the game is something I still mention as a war story, and was the most practical approach as we were building the multiplayer in Annecy, in parallel to the main team in MTL, with our own fork of the engine to make it multiplayer. (3/4)
