If the Sox do move to the rail yards (or better yet, Michael Reese), it’d be pretty easy to have the state work out a land-lease deal at Sox Park where the Bears pay out of pocket for a new stadium but the state retains ownership of the land the stadium is on, which means no property taxes

Then and now: Keeler and Cullerton, Chicago

Two story brown brick corner building with yellow brick trim around the windows. The front has a lovely stepped gable with an arched window and two little side windows in the gable end. The first floor brick has been painted green.

Current version of the same building. The green paint is gone, but so is the lovely gable, replaced by an addition that looks like a mobile home has landed on top of the building. the addition has gray siding and white trim. There is a grocery store, Bossman Market and Fast Food, in the ground floor space.
