🧵Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is responsible for 25% of UK premature deaths. Up to 80% of these deaths are preventable. It’s estimated that the burden of CVD costs £29 billion each year. But CVD prevention is not currently being prioritised by the government at the scale needed.
