What happens when we apply the methods and approaches that we use to improve patient care, to workforce processes and systems? Can we better understand issues that affect our staff, and then develop and test interventions to improve their wellbeing?

It's now easier to join Q. Q is moving from an assessed application process to a simple open registration form. We're making this change after listening and learning from our members on how we can improve inclusion and impact in the community.
Improving Q. How we're changing our membership processOpen registration

We've replaced the assessed application with a simple registration form. Anyone with improvement, transformation or change experience and now join Q. Revised reflective questions

We’ve kept two questions that previously sat at the heart of the application. They focus on who you are, and what areas you are interested in. We will use them to understand our member needs better.A stronger welcome for new members

We’ve refreshed the information members recieve when they join, making it easier to understand what Q offers and how to get involved at a pace that feels right.

In his opinion piece, Q member Mani Dhesi explains how radically redesigning patient care pathways for community settings can both improve the patient experience and free up valuable clinical time in secondary care.
What’s needed is a high-quality alternative that is a supportive and rapid next step for primary care clinicians. Once they have exhausted their specialty knowledge, they need an option that avoids defaulting to referring to secondary care unnecessarily.
