For those of us listening to communities every day, these election results are not a shock. Too many people feel unheard, economically insecure and disconnected from politics. Incremental change no longer feels enough for many communities. This feels more relevant now than when I first wrote it.

In Amsterdam, the painting that stopped me wasn’t a Van Gogh. Cuno Amiet’s The Yellow Hill (1903). The colours are deliberately heightened - unreal. He wasn’t painting accuracy, but vitality. Spring. Joy. In complex times, we need that reminder.
