Holy shit: the weirdo running Social Security added administrative burdens to service delivery in Maine after its Governor disagreed with Trump over trans athletes. The idea that public services should be provided consistently and honestly seems beyond them. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/24/u...
In another instance, the Social Security Administration briefly ended a contract that had allowed parents of newborn babies in Maine to sign their children up for a Social Security number at the hospital, instead requiring them to do so in person at an office. Mr. Dudek said he had ordered the move after watching Janet Mills, Maine’s Democratic governor, clash with Mr. Trump at the White House. He quickly reversed that decision, as well as another to end electronic death reporting in the state.

1/🧵 Judges across ideological lines are ruling against Trump at strikingly similar rates (84% liberal, 86% centrist, 82% conservative). This isn't partisan opposition to Trump—it's the judiciary functioning as intended by cutting across partisan lines to uphold the Constitution.
Title: Both Liberal and Conservative Judges Rule Against Trump
Description: A scatter plot showing the rulings of judges against or in favor of Trump, categorized by ideology using the DIME score. The x-axis represents Judge Ideology (DIME Score), ranging from liberal (-1) to conservative (1), and the y-axis represents the case outcome (against or for Trump).
	•	Blue dots represent liberal judges, purple dots represent moderate judges, and red dots represent conservative judges.
	•	Some judges are labeled, including Rudolph Contreras, Lauren King, John Coughenour, and James Emanuel Boasberg on the liberal to moderate side, and Carl Nichols, Richard J. Leon, and Joseph N. Laplante on the conservative side.
	•	A note mentions that Boasberg, though slightly right-leaning, was initially appointed by George W. Bush.
	•	The visualization suggests that judges from both ideological backgrounds ruled against Trump.

Cloture has met the 60 votes to pass in the senate with the help of at least 9 Democrats: Schumer, Fetterman, Hassan, Cortez Masto, Durbin, Gillibrand, Shaheen, Schatz, and Peters. They sold out our country to Trump and Elon. They're traitors to democracy.
This image displays a list of U.S. senators who support a particular issue or bill, with a total count of 60 supporters. Each senator's name is accompanied by their state abbreviation and, in some cases, a quote or comment. The list includes:

1. Catherine Cortez Masto (Nevada) – with a quote: "It would cause too many Americans to suffer."

2. Dick Durbin (Illinois)

3. John Fetterman (Pennsylvania) – with a partial quote: "I will never vote to shut the government down."

4. Kirsten Gillibrand (New York)

5. Margaret Wood Hassan (New Hampshire)

6. Gary Peters (Michigan)

7. Brian Schatz (Hawaii)

8. Charles E. Schumer (New York) – with a quote: "For sure, the Republican bill is a terrible option."

9. Jeanne Shaheen (New Hampshire) (grayed out, possibly indicating a different status or emphasis)

Each senator is represented with a small portrait on the left, and the text is formatted with bold headings and lighter subtext. The list appears to be part of a political report or legislative tracking document.

In a statement from @schumer.senate.gov on the Senate floor just now, he said Republicans don’t have the votes in invoke cloture, urged Republicans to pass a clean CR to keep US government open, & claimed the Democratic caucus is “united.” That beats voting that mess into law by a country mile.
Schumer statement:

“Funding the government should be a bipartisan effort, but Republicans chose a partisan path, drafting their continuing resolution without any input from congressional Democrats. Because of that, Republicans do not have the votes in the Senate to invoke cloture in the House CR. Our caucus is unified on a clean April 11 CR that will keep the government open and give Congress time to negotiate bipartisan legislation that can pass. We should vote on that. I hope our Republican colleagues will join us to avoid a shutdown on Friday.”

OMG this motion 🔥🔥🔥—"This chaos has rendered the environment in which defense counsel must operate so unpredictable that the accused's const'l & statutory rights to effective representation have been irreparably compromised.... Moreover, DOGE's campaign of administrative arson is unlawful influence"
MILITARY COMMISSIONS TRIAL JUDICIARY
GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA
AE 609
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
v.
ABD AL-RAHIM HUSSEIN
MUHAMMED ABDU AL-NASHIRI

Motion to Abate Proceedings until
DOGE has Finished Dismantling the Defense Department
24 February 2025

1. Timeliness : This motion is timely filed under Military Commissions Trial Judiciary Rule of Court, Rule 3.7.c
2. Relief Requested: The Defense respectfully requests an abatement of all proceedings until 4 July 2026, or until the Department of Government Efficiency finishes dismantling the federal
government, the Defense Department, and the Military Commissions Defense Organization, whichever were to happen sooner.
3. Summary
President Donald Trump's recent Executive Orders and Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency ("DOGE") has unleashed a wildfire of chaos across the federal government, the Defense Department, and the Military Commissions Defense Organization
("MCDO”). That was and remains intentional. This chaos has rendered the environment in which defense counsel must operate so unpredictable that the accused's constitutional and statutory rights
to effective representation have been irreparably compromised. And while it continues, it strips defense counsel of the time, predictability, and institutional stability required to mount a competent defense in this capital case. United States v. Cronic, 466 U.S. 648 (1984); 10 U.S.C. § 948k(c).
Moreover, DOGE's campaign of administrative arson is unlawful influence. 10 U.S.C. § 949b(a)(2)(C). Superior officers, acting under DOGE's erratic directives, have coerced the Chief Defense Counsel ("CDC”) with the fear of losing retirement benefits, issued directives that impermissibly intrude upon the professional judgment of defense counsel on pain of being fired, and created a climate of coercion under which every employee fears imminent, summary termination. This unlawful influence disrupts Mr. Al-Nashiri's attorney-client relationships and forces an impossible dilemma on counsel to withdraw or compromise their advocacy due to threats
against their careers.
For these two independently sufficient grounds? (1) the denial ofthe effective assistance of counsel, and (2) the coercive, unlawful influence undermining of defense counsel's independence—the Defense respectfully requests that this Commission abate the proceedings until DOGE's has concluded its campaign of governmental vandalism, and sufficient predictability returns so that defense counsel can re-commence with the representation of the accused in this capital case.

II. Statement of Facts

On 20 January 2025, President Donald Trump was inaugurated as president. Over the past month, the President has issued a torrent of broadly worded Executive Orders to radically restructure the federal government as part of Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”) initiative. At its inception, Musk described DOGE's goal as "to cut the federal government down to size" through “large-scale firings” and personnel policies whose sole purpose
is to render federal employment so intolerable that it will provoke “a wave of voluntary terminations that we welcome." Elon Musk & Vivek Ramaswamy, DOGE Plan to Reform Government, Wall Street Journal, Nov. 20, 2025. The DOGE initiative is projected to complete its work by 4 July 2026. Ibid. Mr. Musk himself has specific personal interests that are adverse to DOD, which presently deems him a national security risk. DOD denied him a security clearance and his leadership of the
