This is why "but what do we do with the sexual predators?" doesn't work as a response to abolition. THIS IS WHAT WE DO WITH THEM NOW: WE MAKE SURVIVORS WRITE THEM APOLOGY LETTERS.

There is a certain, defined point of wealth at which due to compound interest it becomes basically mathematically impossible to actually lose money. Mackenzie Scott is proof that this amount of wealth is far below $38 billion. Elon is worth $811 billion, 21x more. Bezos, $257 billion, ~7x more

MONTANA SUPREME COURT: “Transgender discrimination is, by its very nature, sex discrimination,” and is subject to strict scrutiny under the Montana Constitution.
Transgender discrimination is, by its very nature, sex discrimination. Discrimination based on sex is expressly prohibited under Montana’s unique Nondiscrimination Clause––“[n]either the state nor any person, firm, corporation, or institution shall discriminate on account of . . . sex . . . .” Thus, Article II, Section 4 is
unequivocal in its intolerance for discrimination based on sex. Because sex discrimination involves a fundamental right under Article II, the appropriate level of judicial review is strict scrutiny. Snetsinger, ¶ 17.

¶28 Being transgender is also a suspect class under the Equal Protection Clause of
Article II, Section 4,––“[n]o person shall be denied equal protection of the law.”

I finally, a year later, got through all of my photos from my trip to LA. Here's a comb jelly from the aquarium. #Invertebrates
an oval shaped jelly (not a true jelly), which is clear and has lines running along it, each lit up with a rainbow of colors. there are two long, thin tendrils trailing behind it.

My vote goes to Chlorine Trifluoride to not just atomize you but also burn through the shag carpet, 2 feet of concrete, and another couple of feet of sand before the fire decides to die out.
It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that’s the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water-with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals-steel, copper, aluminium, etc.-because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride which protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminium keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes.

Weird to me that this is the thing everyone cites, because there's so much that's so much worse. In 1974 the first laws against marital rape were passed, but all 50 states did not classify it as a crime/remove the exemption until 1993.

Meet my fabric art creation: Bark the Ancient Statue. I designed, hand-sewed, and hand-embroidered him. No one is quite sure what kind of animal Bark is. When asked if he's a dog or a seal, he says yes. When asked if he's some other kind of creature, he also says yes. jeremycreature.bigcartel.com
Here's a lovely photo of Bark. He's a gray fabric art statue. He looks sort of like a dog crossed with a seal. He has two black eyes of different sizes, two pointed ears, and a row of black lines running down the neck. There's a beautiful galaxy print fabric in the background. Here's another lovely photo of Bark where he's resting on my palm.

a poem about going
Artemis II
Leslie J. Anderson

When Prometheus gave us fire
this is the kind of thing he hoped for,
not the blood on our hands but
the burn of the rockets bright as the light
in our eyes. Surely he saw
in us the willingness to be torn asunder
again and again, to send our bodies out
against the talons of the universe
to come home, wrap our arms around
each other and sing, rejoice!
There is still no end of the world!
