Being read to and encouraged to read was one of the greatest gifts my parents ever gave me. My parents never put any barriers on their own library, bought us book lights so we could read in the car, and pretended they didn’t notice when I’d be up past bedtime reading under the sheets.

There are about 5500 BEVs in Nove Scotia. At $500/2 years, this levy will raise about $1.4M per year. That’s not quite enough to pave 3 km of road. Less than. 3. Kilometres. But hey, on the plus side, we get to put the brakes on EV adoption, and stick it to those smug electric car-driving nerds!

I like how this looks like a movie about three girls in their 20s who just don't get along but all have to live together after their grandmother leaves them her rambling mansion in her will, with Sarah McLachlan as their kooky aunt who's also the mayor.
Rolling Stone cover picturing Chappell Roan (in pale white porcelain doll makeup), leaning her head on Olivia Rodrigo's shoulder, with Doechii leaning over Olivia's other shoulder. Olivia has a daisy in her mouth. Sarah McLachlan is leaning over them like she's descending from orbit.
