Is it just me, or have Google Map directions gotten noticably worse in the past month or two? I'm guessing they've given new Gemini models more control in routing paths. For example, today Google Maps says I can just walk across the Hudson River to Jersey City.

This type of thing is a much larger contributor to the childcare affordability crisis and birthrates than many admit. The state essentially mandates a higher spending on childcare than previous generations experienced, while crime is at historic lows.

On top of specific problems with each group, the order seems to violate the Constitution by conditioning birthright citizenship on the status of ONE parent alone. E.g., under the second category, the child of two green card holders would be denied if one parent works for the UN as a janitor.

Stephen Miller said just the other day that all asylum claims are "fake." A couple deported from the U.S. to Guatemala were gagged, bound, and shot dead. Their 14-month old found crying next to their mother's body. People like Miller don't care though because this is the point: ethnic cleansing.

Fireflies. I remember in highschool, stumbling upon a meadow grove in a forested park and seeing the *whole thing* lit up with what must have been tens of thousands of fireflies and thinking "No wonder people in the past believed in fairies." Now it seems I'm lucky to see a few dozen in a summer.

Mark Cuban is wrong about a lot but he's correct here. The difference between a good doctor and a bad one is not getting the proper diagnosis. It's how much bullshit they are willing to go through to advocate for the patient. Like I'm here at 6pm ordering e-consults that I won't get paid for.

A cow, standing in front of the dovecote in Bruton, Somerset, about a month ago. Lovely town. Beautiful architecture. Had a chat with a really nice lady from an old farming family after I took this. Sadly quite a few stuck-up down-from-London snotbags live there these days and houses cost a fortune as a result.
