When my dad arrived to the States in '56, he was confronted by the racial strife of the time. At a restaurant in Ohio, he noticed a waiter verbally abusing black patrons. He stood up & walked out in protest. From that point on, my father aligned with the Civil Rights Movement. 🕊️
