I grew up on the Genesee, crashing & thundering over waterfalls, pouring into Lake Ontario with fierce energy, although sometimes we went upriver to slide on the natural waterslides. Now I'm near the Effra, so caged up that the only place I've even seen it is leaking into a basement it runs under.

Well, this is pretty sure I'm from Delaware (never been) or San Francisco (lived outside for 2 years in my 30s), but is also pretty sure that I'm not from upstate NY (grew up there), so I remain unchallenged in having an accent with confusingly mixed regional tells.

A chalk leaner-board outside a British Heart foundation bookstore: it reads "Egyptology Section Restocked" followed by an eye of Horus (possibly meant to be an eye of Ra?), a pharaoh's head, and an ankh. It was confusing, because historically they haven't HAD an Egyptology section.

A not very good picture of a 90% solar eclipse. You can see just a tiny sliver of the sun along the top of the moon, but can't see the moon a tall, or anything else. Hey, I'm just lucky my camera chose to turn on at all, let alone mostly focus, it's very much end-of-life!

100 years back, they were all small children or actual babies! 75 though, I've got fireman, housewife, insurance salesman, & doctor, so a good range. I'd have to choose doctor, I definitely couldn't handle fireman and I hate selling things with a passion. Never met her, but I gather she was a force.

If I were a billionaire, after investing: everyone I know gets a new house, quality healthcare & free college. Then I'd fund a lot of artists (painting, sculpture, writing, TV/film, +sized fashion), set up scholarships, pay off medical debts, buy a newspaper & hire union journalists.
