My most millennial coded trait is that whenever the number 9 is followed by then number 11 in any context. I immediately think “9/11 never forget” in a somewhat joking tone. It one of those things you kinda had to be there. For almost a year it was the only thing everyone talked about on tv.

I think one way to rein in in all this data mining is to force everyone who monetizes data to pay a royalty to the person who's data they are monetizing. This would force disclosure for data monetization as well as de incentivize it.
