Like, i used to think about it the way you describe. I assume that's why stuff gets uploaded to streaming at 30fps. It just isnt true. The camera isnt capturing one full frame and splitting it into fields, it's capturing each field individually at a different moment in time. youtu.be/B0ndYWlMkXI

So it's 60 images a second at half resolution. It's closer to 60fps than it is to 30fps. A good deinterlacer will double the framerate to preserve the way it looks.

Anything shot on tape, and nowadays anything broadcast live, reality tv, sports, game shows etc. (i am deliberately not getting pedantic about frames vs fields with interlaced material, the camera still captures 60 unique images a second which in motion on a CRT translates to 60fps. 50fps for PAL)
