Oldies ! Some time ago i get the chance to draw the very pointy Springjaw by @foresttherotten.bsky.social Still like my take on this character 💙

Illustration of Forest's Springjaw. She has a pale skin tone and blue-grey hair topped by large cat ears. She wears wide arm sleeves, long striped stockings, spiky boots and numerous belts.

I need to shower but my roommate has been in there for 2 hours. But I'm also on my period, and my tampons are in the bathroom. Won't be making that mistake again.

the pillars of creation, from chandra and webb. simply stunning 🌌

This composite image features a region of star formation known as the Pillars of Creation. Here, tall columns of grey gas and dust emerge from the bottom edge of the image, stretching toward our upper right. Backed by dark orange and pink mist, the cloudy grey columns are surrounded by dozens of soft, glowing, dots in whites, reds, blues, yellows, and purples. These dots are young stars emitting X-ray and infrared light. Churning with turbulent gas and dust, the columns lean to our right with small offshoots pointing in the same direction. The misty glow, colorful stars, and lifelike grey dust formations combine to create an image of yearning cloud creatures at dusk, reaching for something just out of frame.

an under appreciated jwst image

$At center right is a compact star cluster composed of luminous red, blue, and white points of light. Faint jets with clumpy, diffuse material extend in various directions from the bright cluster. Above and to the right is a smaller cluster of stars. Translucent red wisps of material stretch across the scene, though there are patches and a noticeable gap in the top left corner that reveal the black background of space. Background galaxies are scattered across this swath of space, appearing as small blue-white and orange-white dots or fuzzy, thin disks. There are two noticeably larger points, foreground stars, with diffraction spikes: an orange-white point on the left, and a blue-white point in the top right.$

NIRCam view of Cartwheel galaxy. Processed by @thocarp.bsky.social www.flickr.com/photos/19746... 🔭 🧪

A captivating image of the Cartwheel Galaxy, captured by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. The galaxy resembles a wagon wheel, with a bright central hub and multiple rings of stars and dust. The inner ring is a region of intense star formation, while the outer ring is expanding outward, pushing into the surrounding gas and triggering star formation in its path. The image also reveals distant galaxies in the background, showcasing the vastness of the universe.

one of the best hubble images ever

The star cluster Pismis 24 lies within the much larger emission nebula called NGC 6357, located about 8,000 light-years from Earth. The cluster is seen here above a small portion of the nebula. The gas below the stars glows through ionization caused by intense ultraviolet radiation from the massive young stars within the cluster. The strong radiation and stellar winds from from these blazing, blue-white stars also pushes the nebular material outward, creating one of many low-density bubbles within NGC 6357.

Something that I think really appeals to me about #jayvik moreso than caitvi (as a lesbian myself) is that it felt like the end goal of caitvi was the sex with intimacy as an after thought whereas jayvik was always intimacy thru the relationship.

1/2 The richness of detail in this striking image of Uranus captured by Webb's NIRCam, thanks to its extraordinary sensitivity, is incredible compared to the blue ball as seen by Voyager 2 in the 1980s. Reference➡️ esawebb.org/news/weic2332/ ⤵️ 🧪🔭 #planetsci

This image of Uranus, captured by Webb, shows a dynamic world with rings, moons, storms, and other atmospheric features, including a seasonal polar cap. The image expands upon a two-colour version released previously, adding additional wavelength coverage for a more detailed look. The prevalent color is bluish.
The planet’s seasonal north polar cap is really striking, and the bright, white, inner cap appears intriguing.
