The Dems need to viciously attack every power and money center for the conservative movement. Eliminate car dealership monopolies, enact wealth taxes on billionaires, eliminate citizens United, crack down on crypto, and bring silicon Valley to heel.

Earlier this week, I agreed to interviews with two USA Today journalists. They wrote fantastic articles about the Cornell case that I'm proud to have been a part of. What I did not know is that their employer considers interviews to proprietary and opens up recordings to be used by any journalist.

Fortunately, people at NYT recognized that this was a historically bad sub-head for a story. It now reads: "is the latest sign of how the White House is asserting more control over grants." But SOMEONE WROTE THAT ORIGINAL HEADLINE.

A truly heinous man has doxxed the Cornell victim on X and the comments are predictably vile. Based on countless interviews I’ve done with survivors, the trauma they are subjected to for coming forward is oftentimes even worse than the initial trauma they experienced. Justice Jackson’s “bright side” on mass voter purges depends on Republican election officials following federal law, and on the Supreme Court holding firm if election deniers try to purge voters. If the past is prologue, the signs are not hopeful, Marc Elias writes: demdock.com/4xM2nJP

When they get back in power, Democrats need to go all-in on higher education. We need a campaign of reinvestment in public universities across the country that makes the Morrill Land-Grant Act look like nothing by comparison *and* a GI Bill of Rights-style program of tuition grants.

What’s it going to take to stop the media both-sidesing? I would have thought over taxpayer-paid Trumpian propaganda. But WRONG. So I imagined how these guys would cover Trump actually shooting someone on Fifth Avenue. The first 3: presswatchers.org/2026/09/the-...
The New York Times, under the headline: “A Shooting on Fifth Avenue, This One By the President,” reports four paragraphs down: “Some ethics experts have argued that the shooting could violate laws against assault with a deadly weapon.”
The Washington Post reports: “Democratic members of Congress and former prosecutors say it was done by a person using a gun against someone else, and therefore a potential violation of state law.”
The Wall Street Journal, calling the shooting “unusual” in a subhead, reports: “On Saturday night, a local CBS News reporter in New York City noticed something unusual on Fifth Avenue: Donald Trump shooting someone.” Then, a few paragraphs down: “the shooting could violate state law, ethics experts said.”

In what world is it the purview of the President/Executive branch “to force conservative cultural changes on academia‘? And why end the paragraph without noting that there is no legal justification whatsoever for Trump and his minions to “force cultural change” on institutions of higher education.
Inside the White House, some of Mr. Trump’s top lieutenants have expressed frustration about a perceive slowdown in the adminstration’s attempts to force conservative cultural changes on academia.

one common thread (among the horrifying many) between the numerous ICE shootings/murders is that no first aid was administered to the victim. armed combatants of the government shot to kill, and if they didn’t kill right away, they gave time for it to happen anyway. it is absolutely grotesque.

Democrats act like they have no agency and that the base must be shamed into supporting them anyway otherwise it’s the voters’ fault. The politician chose to attack their own constituency to appease republicans who will never vote for them anyway. The blame is on the politician.
