solidarity is a beautiful thing to witness. ten years ago if you told a Palestinian that multiple artists would drop out of a career-changing tour in solidarity with their people against genocide, they would not believe you. never give up hope in any struggle for liberation, never stop fighting.

Phil Liggett needed to retire decades ago. That we're forced to listen to him for the final two stages of this year's #TDFF (just like last year) is a form of fan torture.

This fire burned neighborhoods I grew up in, places my family and our friends still live. Thankfully everyone evacuated in time yesterday; so many don’t yet know if they have homes to return to. Sobering and surreal.

15 years ago, I biked into Portland early in my third bike summer. "Tuesday's yours if you want," I'd texted. As it turned out, Kerri did want it and said yes; we met up early afternoon for what proved to be an epic seven-hour hike, pausing only because it got dark and we were hungry for fish tacos.

I truly believe there is nothing Ai can do for you in writing that you cannot learn to do better & more efficiently yourself. What makes writing special is the alchemy that makes the author who they are—it's why diversity in the arts is so important. Ai can't be you and it's the you that's special.

You don't get to repeal civil rights. If you try you repeal yourself. It's up to us to make that a reality for SCOTUS. Declare that all 6 Republican justices are illegitimate and their votes will not be recognized. Demand their resignations, seek their expulsion, appoint 15 more justices.

Once again: If we are to beat the Republican fascist movement, we all must view the Supreme Court as it is presently constituted to be completely illegitimate and all of its findings similarly illegitimate, and we should expect our elected leaders to hold the same view.
