To understand the kind of person I am: There's a spider living in the corner above my shower and has been there through several bathroom cleanings. My only concern is that I simply don't believe there's enough for it to eat. How is it surviving? I hope it's okay.

I think it's sooooo cool that my workplace got a license for Microsoft Copilot that makes it so there's annoying new Copilot things on every single application I use with no way of turning them off or hiding them. Literally no way I can opt out of having annoying summaries on every Word doc I open.

I think the most exciting part of seeing people embrace the DIY proxy aesthetic, for me, is really two parts: 1) People exploring what that aesthetic looks like, taking it seriously, putting real effort into it, and 2) people understanding proxies as an art form and not just economic form.

I just want people to understand that most all of the criticisms I've seen about this release are criticisms that can be applied to every Magic product. What is the difference between this product and collector boosters? Or Mystery Booster? Or any other Secret Lair? It's all the same thing.

Say what you will about Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I saw it at an incredibly young and impressionable age, before I knew what was supposed to be laughed at, and when viewed seriously it's a complex story of queer love and identity that informed a lot of my early identity.

The only thing I really think I can contribute to talking about Dolly is that I grew up in the South and have lived here my entire life, and Dolly was always very boisterously Southern and Christian. And she also loved trans people and gay people and black people and did the work to show it.

The thing about AI summaries is they are just about as reliable as any other summary that you didn’t write yourself. You should also be checking summaries written by humans a lot more than you probably do.

I do actually believe the world would be a better place if we made every American high schooler read Devil House. Everyone around the world should read it, but if just the American teenagers read it the world would be radically changed for the better within a generation.

Since we're all talking AI tools again, here's my lived experience: I work with coders who use AI to help write code, and their AI has been pretty well trained to write it the way *they* write code. It makes it pretty easy for them to test and debug. But they *know* how to and still do write code.

I love the owner of my local diner because most of the time he uses their social media to post about specials and celebrate milestones and then sometimes he just posts a picture of a corvette. Not one he owns, but just one he thinks is cool.
