My church had a ceremony on St. Francis’ feast day where the priest would bless the congregation’s pets in the parking lot. We took our beagle Nora one year to be blessed, and she went on to live until she was 18-19 years old. I guess it worked.

This reminds me of a youtuber I saw once complaining that Garfield Kart would shut down his computer with a controller plugged in and it turns out the problem was that the most upvoted steam config for Garfield Kart at the time was a community config that bound every button to "Shutdown Computer"
