kudos to macklemore here for —right off the bat— the perspective and acknowledgment of who the real victims are
I'm not sure how to start this. So I'm going to speak from the heart and share the truth. Ed Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour.

But before I get into it, I want to say something that should be obvious. In this moment I think it matters. I am not a victim. Ed Sheeran is not a victim. Pink is not a victim. We have careers, money, opportunities, safety and audiences around the world. Whatever consequences any of us face for what we say, we get to go home to our families.

The victims are the Palestinian people. The men, women and children who have been killed, starved, displaced and forced to live through unimaginable violence. More than 20,000 children have been killed in Gaza alone. People are being killed today, and people will be killed tomorrow. I want to make sure that as I tell this story, we don't lose sight of that.

I'm old enough to remember back between waves 5 and 6 -- September 2022 -- when President Joe Biden said: "The pandemic is over... If you notice, no one's wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape." www.npr.org/2022/09/19/1...

Joe Biden says the COVID-19 pandemic is over. This is what the data tells us
While cases have decreased dramatically, there are still thousands of cases being reported across the world, and hundreds of people are still dying from it every day in the United States.

Yup. We’ve seen big tech crying “please regulate us! [so we can drive the regulations]” before. This doesn’t even need to be part of a shadowy coordinated plan; it’s enough that the companies don’t give a shit because all hype works to their advantage.

Share widely and help one of our comrades find an additional covid cautious care worker!❤️
text reads: “Urgently seeking an additional care worker who already wears a respirator mask in Daily life! Bonus if you are already employed through Accra agency or already have a background check through Ramsey county. Please send me a message and I'd love to talk to interested people in the next two days
I am a power chair user and recent arm injuries have put me in a much worse place for pain and needing way more assistance with ADLs and iadls. pg 1/3.” white text over a picture of a cloudy sky with a light wood fence and flora at the bottomtext reads: “Lifting food to my mouth, taking dictation for me and organizing info so that care Squad can help manage my care, bathing and Grooming and toileting, I do not need someone who can lift my full weight to transfer.
I got approved for additional emergency cfss hours through Accra agency for September only. This would be probably 10 hours a week for the Septemver plus some significant substituting for care workers on my squad who will be gone different weeks in october. 2/3“ white text over a picture of a cloudy sky with a light wood fence and flora at the bottomText reads: “The pay is $18.50 an hour fore CFfS through Accra. In October I will get renewal of my assessment for waiver services and Care work. Likely they will give me more hours of cfss per day starting November 1st. And I plan to switch to budget model so that care workers can get paid more. I forget but I think the minimum wage for cfss Budget model care workers through the SEIU union is 22 or $23 an hour? So imminently opportunity for more hours, a unionized, and higher wages,- I know the 18.50 sucks which is why I'm switching to budget model!
Apologize for any typos I use speech to text. Thank you everyone. of 3/3”

How to visit an art museum with someone who isn't used to visiting art museums:
Two social media posts by @pan_juho (Translated from Japanese):

"I love going to art museums, but when I go with someone who's not used to them, if I say, 'If you were a great thief, tell me later which one you'd steal,' they end up looking the exhibits pretty seriously, and that makes me happy.

"Whether you steal something you like or something that seems valuable -> it opens up endless conversation based on what vou liked about it or where you saw value in it, so it's also great as an easy icebreaker for chats after visiting the museum."

Nice to have a citation for the stuff we all sort of assume to be true but question if it's just our own biases making it look that way
Screenshot from the article in the quoted post, saying "Piff and his colleagues found that upper-class drivers were more likely to cut other cars off at junctions and ignore pedestrians at crossings. Wealthier people also appeared more willing to lie at work. In one experiment, volunteers were left alone with a jar of sweets ostensibly meant for children. When the researchers returned, upper-class people had snaffled nearly twice as many candies as lower-class people.

“The general pattern seems to be that with wealth and rising power, you become less engaged with the needs of others and less burdened by the needs of social relationships,” Piff said. “Taking candy from children might be the least of our worries but it’s emblematic of the tendency to prioritise one’s own needs over those of others.”
