C-CARN hopes to change this by creating a centralized distribution hub for these supplies that can be shared by communities and organizations throughout #Chicago. This will relieve the overhead costs of buying and storing expensive equipment and bulk PPE orders for smaller organizations.

However, keeping oneself safe from airborne pollutants during these emergencies is left up to the individual, with the cost of purchasing air purifiers, #N95 masks, sensors, and other tools being unaffordable for many people.
