IOW, Bowser continues to treat DC Paid Family Leave -- a self-funding program that puts money directly in DC families' pockets when they need it most, and has no net budget impact -- as a slush fund, but is trying to pretend cutting it is a necessary sacrifice for tough times.

While tech can certainly help deliver services, this is cuckoo--and yet Trump officials keep saying things like it. When she's sick, your mom wants to see a doctor, not an AI avatar--just like when your grandma has a problem with her Social Security, she wants to talk to a person, not an AI bot.

Pronatalism is not a rhetorical tool that the left can manipulate for positive ends. It is a rhetorical trick that will sucker you into adopting a framework that justifies second-class-or-worse status for women, people of color, and disabled people.
