There's something kind of depressing about GoDCGo/DDOT setting up a park(ing) day event -- which is meant to show that we can do better things with our public space than just let cars park there -- in the same exact spot where La Tejana used to have a streatery....before DDOT took it away

my proposal for RFK stadium transit: Everyone who wants to drive simply goes to a large offsite parking lot somewhere near, let's say, landover MD. They can tailgate there if they want to. Then a series of shuttle buses takes them to RFK for the game, and back to their cars afterwards!

i suppose it's a minor point, but in a race with 14 candidates where you get to vote for 7 and the top 7 people win, and there are two slates of aligned candidates and the slates have names, this seems like a particularly unhelpful way to present the results

I recently let my @bikeshare.bsky.social lapse and this odd sentence was in the email they sent me asking to renew. I don't think either claim in it is true. I've never once seen Bikeshare or Lyft advocate for a bike lane project in DC

I got a chance to head down to H Street late last week to pay my respects to the Streetcar. RIP. A good idea that was poorly served by timid politicians from start to finish.
