Has anyone looked at how much longer research papers, other essays, have gotten in the AI era? I'd bet there's a big jump post-ChatGPT. It's a vicous cycle of using AI to write longer things, which people use AI to read. We all get dumber. Glad to be somewhere with a bias toward fewer words.
