Slower wage growth means that with higher prices, workers and their families continue to find it difficult to make ends meet. Year-over-year real wages fell for five months in a row. When the latest price data is out on October 14, we'll learn if real wages have fallen for six months straight.

#JobsDay numbers came in well below expectations (+29k jobs). Revisions reversed the narrative of a strong end-of-summer hiring boom (-60k fewer than reported). Trump's economy fails to deliver jobs for Americans as job growth slows, unemployment increases (4.2%), and inflation outpaces wages

Layoffs remain low but if those start to tick up while hires remain low, the unemployment rate will likely spike. #EconSky

Students and families will pay the price of the Big Beautiful Bill’s cuts to SNAP benefits. As schools lose eligibility, students will go hungry and families will shoulder an additional cost to already-strained budgets. American children deserve to learn free of hunger and financial burden.
An infographic on a bright blue background featuring bold white text reading, "As students head back to class, one school essential is at risk for millions of kids: school meals." Below the text is a school meal tray with illustrated food items (orange slices, peas, a glass of water, and a chicken nugget) fading away to symbolize scarcity.A graphic on a dark teal background featuring text about legislative cuts affecting school meals. Above the text, a child's hand reaches toward a bright red apple with a green leaf that is pixelating and dissolving into the background. An infographic detailing the financial impact on families losing free or reduced-price school meals. Text highlights that losing support will add costs for two children each year: $1,890 for school-offered meals or $2,214+ for packed meals, accompanied by graphics of an empty lunch tray and a paper lunch bag.An infographic featuring an overturned light blue milk carton pouring white milk across the lower half of the graphic.
