The train moves. The man walks. The city trembles. In the rain, all fades.
Photo by Trace Hudson. A lone figure with an umbrella crosses a rain-slicked street, framed by blurred skyscrapers and the soft glow of a train labeled "Kimball" approaching on elevated tracks. The scene captures the quiet tension between urban speed and human stillness, with reflections shimmering on the wet pavement and diffused light painting the city in dreamy hues.

Today is the 134th anniversary of the beginning of the CTA Elevated Trains. On this day in 1892, the first "L" train ran from Pershing & State to Congress & Wabash. Chicago is the only city with elevated trains in its downtown area.

Yeah this is one of my favorite uses of LLMs along with mock interviews. I made a set of flash cards from really dense material then had Claude export them in a way that I could easily upload them to Quizlet and study on my phone. Took like 5 minutes.

An almost all white, snowy scene in Chicago's Grant Park. A few sledders come down a hill in the foreground and mid ground. A statue of General John Logan is covered in snow in the middle of the frame, while blotted out skyscrapers are barely visible in the background.
