I think I forgot to share this absolute gem of a self portrait my younger one drew in kindergarten a few weeks ago. Most of the time parents praise the art and look for ways to secrete it into the trash when the kids isn’t looking… but I legit may frame this for posterity.

A kindergarten worksheet in French asking kids to draw a self portrait. It includes my youn get son’s drawing of himself with red eyes, red angry forehead lines, pointy black eyebrows that look kind of evil, and a red/black evil grin. He’s written his name “SAM” and “SAMUEL” very carefully.

This is a VERY significant decision, given the impact of the rule change, which was set to upend the student visa process which has been in place for the last half-century. Colleges and universities said the rule would impose millions in costs and cause a big drop in enrollment.
