Team sports can allegedly be great for kids (I was…not sporty), but chances are your kid is not the next great hope of their sport. And if you’re telling them that’s their only chance to go to college you are probably ruining their enjoyment of it and turning it into their job

Glad that the army spent billions of dollars implementing a test to ultimately replace the air up with the plank in the apft.

The sma visited Leavenworth for pcc and gave the following notes on the apft:

1. The deadlift and sprint drag carry will be removed
2. The push ups, run, and plank will remain
3. The minimum number of pushups will increase
4. The time to achieve a max score in the run will decrease and passing time will be reduced

Combat fitness test will remain unchanged
New annual requirements
4 miles run in 36 minutes
12 mile ruck in 4 hours
