It’s darkly ironic this guy and the movement behind him are the executioners of the “diversity is in opposition to merit” push that’s currently running through mainstream institutions throughout society.

Always a good time to remind ourselves that the US Confederacy was, even judged in historical context, evil -- a pathetic, morally repellant movement led by some the smarmiest narcissists ever known. It had no redeeming features & should forever be regarded with disgust & contempt.

Trump officials strip military language criticizing Confederate memorial
A new sign at Arlington National Cemetery omits wording that said the 32-foot bronze statue “mythologized” the Confederacy and gave “sanitized” depictions of slavery.

I think one reason Mamdani is using non-traditional media is because traditional media isn't covering substantive government stories The two reporters on this topic cover the Mamdani administration but mostly from the perspective of conflicts. Too much theater, not enough substance.

The Democratic Party has let a consulting industry exploit elderly donors in its name, wreck its reputation and finances in the process, and walk away rich whether the party wins or loses. When a mirror is held up, the instinct is to break the glass rather than look. On why the press looks away:

Some of the richest people in the world want a racial caste system, and they want scholarly backing for that in the form of racist pseudoscience. And a lot of ostensibly non racist people quietly agree, and don’t like to see those who peddle that pseudoscience excluded from mainstream institutions.

unlike the safe vaccine, *getting Covid* during pregnancy does dramatically increase your risks of complications during pregnancy, especially if you are unvaccinnated. the truth is like the exact opposite of what Ackman implies www.cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/cov....

COVID before or during pregnancy may confer 2 to 3 times the risk of miscarriage
Although the risk was greater with moderate-to-severe infections, even mild cases were linked to more than double the risk.

More than a million pregnant women around the world have received an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, before and during pregnancy. Studies have shown no increased risk for complications like miscarriage, preterm delivery, stillbirth, or birth defects.678910111213

Some of y'all forget the reason we have food safety regulations is because companies used to do things like adding chalk to spoiled milk so it looked normal.

Regulations don't exist because governments enjoy them. They exist because pure unadulterated capitalism would kill us.
