My ex and I took care of a colony of cats together before I moved abroad and he’s dealing with kitten season alone this year. He sent me this kitten picture, which is my new most used reaction sticker now because I think it really captures a specific feeling
A kitten looking very overwhelmed and sort of like his brain is trying to boot up, kind of like his fasted are flabbered or he forget where he parked his car while hung over

Nonbinary trans, neurodivergent, disabled Canadian here! Appropriately enough for the October monthly boost, most of my work is concerned with ghosts and monsters. Serialized and standalones. Sometimes SFW, usually NSFW. :) Mostly available through: huldrahouse.com huldrahouse.itch.io
Cover image of a novella called The River Devours the Moon, written by Kaya Skovdatter. A woman's head floats underwater in the upper half of the image. Her eyes closed and a bubble escaping from her open lips, her hair drifting in wispy strands. The entire image is washed blue, and light glows up illuminating her face, from the lower half of the image. The title is overlaid against the cover image, its text matte white. At the top of the image is a string of blurb text that reads: "Elegant. Surreal. Some of Kaya's best work." - A.G.A. Wilmot, author of WitheredCover image of a book called The Collected Hulderotica Year One, written by Kaya Skovdatter. Background is a figure in a shadowed figure in a scarf and dress, holding an umbrella. Their face too is covered in shadow, only two unnerving points of light shining out of that darkness. Around the figure is a lush, overgrown forest painted in a variety of greens, and before them is a rock-edged forest pool with the figure's reflection cast in its green-tinged surface. The title is overlaid against the cover image, its text matte white.

Lukewarm genre take: the desire for precision when tonally sorting or categorizing books has led to a trend in avoiding categorizing something as part of a broad genre (e.g. "fantasy"). Sometimes a book is best categorized as just "fantasy" vs. grimdark or cozy. I think a discomfort

So. Fixed that.

🍂In these dark woods...🍂 A very lesbian, 18+ horror short comic I've been working on about a sick forest, the unassuming butch sent to study it and the monster they find there. It's still in early stages but I'm very excited to share more about it as I go! #ocs #lesbians
My OCs Aspen and Eve in a tense embrace(?). Aspen is an auburn-haired butch with long wavy hair and tanned skin speckled with freckles. She is grimacing in interest and worry at Eve as she is held fast in Eve's talon grip. Small amounts of blood are coming from Aspen's cheek where a claw has dug in a little too deep, and a nosebleed from previous trauma (Aspen gets nosebleeds easily). Eve is a humanoid beast with the face of an elegant, pale human but the horns, ears, long neck and furred body of a mix of animals. She is grinning as she grips Aspen's head, her wings encircling them as the leaves fall around them. Her fur is a blend of hazel browns to muted greens. She has sharp fangs and an overall threatening presence despite the intimacy.

What a surprise, the organizers of the covid cautious dyke bar hated the article, rejected its framing, and is defending their covid cautious patrons and performers. Anyone who joined in on the viral harassment campaign started by Jesse Singal wanna say oops or…? recorder.com/2026/09/24/g...
Current and former owners of Last Ditch could not be reached by phone, email or social media. However, Last Ditch did share on Instagram that the Globe story allegedly misconstrued statements from Noire, and urged community members to stop harassing Noire.
"It is neither productive, progressive, nor valiant to attack a Black patron. He has been a collaborator and performer of Last Ditch for a while, and he deserves to speak his mind about accountability and repair from the bar," the Last Ditch statement reads. "There are so many misconceptions due to the disorganization of the Globe article. He did not call for the bar to be firebombed. Further, he did not disparage the owner for being homeless.
"As a result of this abysmal journalism, he has been getting additional threats, slurs, harassment, and is being reported to the police over something he did not do," Last Ditch continued. "This is not supporting us at Last Ditch, and it is, at its core, anti-Blackness hysteria."
