I find photographing flowers very uplifting. When I was younger, doing creative work helped me cope. These days it feels much lighter. (I guess it worked?) Passiflora 'Susan Brigham' under UV light.

The subject has brown & ivory mottled upperparts, her wings are out and slightly down, the underside of the more distant wing can be seen; it is ivory with dark brown stripes. A Short-eared Owl glides over a snow-covered prairie before sunrise. The owl is in the upper left third of the photo, flying to the right. It's wings are stretched out and upwards. The owl's belly is creamy white with dark brown streaking. Around its head and upper breast, the dark brown is more heavily streaked. The bird's face is white around the beak and light brown elsewhere. The eyes are circled in black, making its bright yellow eyes stand out. The wings are dark brown with white checkering.

The owl is flying above a shortgrass prairie. The ground is covered in snow. Medium height gold and red grasses pierce through the snow in clumps. The grasses are illuminated by a warm golden glow in the pre-sunrise light.

A pair of fledgling wrens perched on branches in the forest. The birds are either side of the centre of the shot, both facing the camera but turned slightly towards the left so that their left sides are showing.
Both birds are quite round in shape with their tails standing up behind them. They have slender, yellow beaks with a large mouth gape. They are brown, darker on the back than on the underparts. They have white stripe above the eyebrow and the wings and tail have delicate barring.
The one on the right is perched on the end of a small, cut branch while the one on the right is straddling two branches, one of which continues up between the birds in the foreground. Another couple of branches can be seen behind the bird in the right.
