I find photographing flowers very uplifting. When I was younger, doing creative work helped me cope. These days it feels much lighter. (I guess it worked?) Passiflora 'Susan Brigham' under UV light.

A Common Buzzard perched on a dead tree in the pouring rain. The bird is right of centre of the shot, with its back turned to the camera but its head turned around to stare at it.
The bird has a brown head, paler around the bill, which is black and hooked. It has a yellow cere above the beak. Its back is a lightly mottled brown, darker as it gets to the tail.
The tree is fully dead with patches of bark missing along the trunk and branches. The trunk travels up along the right hand side of the frame and a horizontal branch, with multiple side branches, holds the buzzard. Another, smaller branch is jutting out above it.
The rain is heavy and large drops can be seen throughout the shot. It gives the shot a hazy appearance. The background is an out of focus wall of trees leaves.

A Eurasian Jay in close up perched at the top of a small bush. The bird is centre of the shot, facing left so that it’s left side is visible.
It has its head raised in an alert pose and is glancing at the camera slightly. It has a thick black bill, white throat and crown, which is streaked with black and a prominent black steak from its beak to its shoulder. Its plumage is pinkish, with bright blue and white barring on the wing coverts, turning to black and white behind it.
Some barely visible, out of focus vegetation in the foreground gives a hazy effect to the birds feet and tail. It is perched on a bare branch, just visible at the bottom of the shot, which has a spur travelling upwards behind the bird to the right. A bush with small, oval green leaves is in the bottom left and the background is a white sky with some out of focus branches visible throughout.
