Actually a bit liberating to discover my knee is arthritis - can't do anything about it - resting and doing rehab isn't gonna regrow any cartilage! Anyway, long story short, I'm getting my exercise mojo back on, and its really helping my brain!!🧠

A lovely mossy boulder with a face. I walked past this venerable stone gentleman on Dartmoor when I was beginning to write my first novel, Villager, and it whispered all 104,000 words of the book to me. So now I have to pay it all of my royalties. Unfortunately my ex-publisher stopped paying me royalties last year. Understandable, the boulder was not happy. But now I have a new publisher and the book has been republished. So remember if you purchase a copy you will be helping a boulder to eat, pay the rent on his riverside moss garden, and feed his boulder family.

Had the results of my MRI - I have arthritis in my knee (in places no cartilage at all) and a small meniscus tear meniscus tear. So it won't be getting better. Eventually I will need a new knee but "we aren't there yet" No running. Not sure that will be happening

i can't let this go: Obama navigating gay marriage wasn't about taking rights away from people. Like, maybe that's a hair not worth splitting, but LGBTQ folks were trying to gain the right to marry. they weren't having the right to health care and the right to use the fucking bathroom taken away.

I don't get the businesses thing - the evidence is that #ActiveTravel is *good* for businesses but it seems to be embedded in consciousness that it isn't. When it's a café complaining it's particularly odd, as if you can't sell coffee & cake to cyclists, you're caféing wrong.
