Three panel comic. Panel 1: a beetle is on the phone in his house. He says, “hey man— for the party tonight… don’t bring any poop.” Panel 2: on the other end of the call is a dung beetle. He responds, “really? You sure?” Panel 3: shrugging towards another dung beetle, the first dung beetle says, “he says they’re good on poop.” Somewhat incredulous, the second dung beetle says, “I just rolled it!” He is leaning against a mostly out of frame huge ball of poop.

One way tech oligarchs retain power is through dual-class shares, allowing them to cash in on public stock markets without giving up power over their companies. @ryanlcooper.com thinks this needs to end: Dual-class shares should be banned, or taxed in proportion to founder control over the company.

Maybe it’s petty but I genuinely hate the thing lately where some people will use F1 jargon to decribe their placing in bike races. No, you weren’t “P5.” You were 5th.

This is a common lie from DHS press flacks. They claim that people who came through CBP One — who registered for an appointment through a government app, went to a port of entry, and were issued a grant of humanitarian parole by a CBP officer letting them enter — "entered illegally." Total nonsense.

NYT has now independently corroborated all the major allegations against Susan Collins in the ProPublica report, including that investigators were prepared to move against her and then Trump intervened to shut it down. This put Trump in a position of exceptional and extortionate leverage over her.

This is hilarious, because yes, it’s objectively true that gas is a very marginal component of the total cost to own a car, but people nonetheless care a lot about it and all the sweaty arguments from Republicans that actually it’s not a big deal aren’t going to work at all.

There’s a persistent urban legend going around on the Internet of Cyclocross, mostly r/cyclocross, that “some events/regions” enforce a 33mm max tire size outside of UCI races. I’ve started asking for receipts on this because I’m pretty confident this is misinformation and it’s time to push back.
