Making something legally not mine in my car
Location: Columbus ohio
Could I put a bin in my car with a label to make sure cops know something in my car isn't mine. I'm 18 but my mom and brother are over the age of 21 and sometimes they will leave liquor or weed in my car. I don't want to get pulled over and get a possession charge for it is there any way I can make it legally not mine while in my car. So they don't have to come to my house to pick it up every time.

The ironic part of this patch is that it uses machine translation to translate a game whose story is about an artificial intelligence replacing humans. Pepa describes the AI usage: “This is an AI-assisted translation. The first pass was machine-translated from the Japanese PlayStation script, not the Sega CD version. For 1.0 the whole script was translated again at full length, now that the engine no longer limits how long a line can be, and every line went through a human review that changed 10,970 of them. The voice subtitles are timed from a speech-recognition pass over the Japanese audio, checked by hand, and reviewed the same way.”

While using machine translation, pepa said they put in a considerate effort in making sure it’s human-reviewed: “I know what an AI-slop patch looks like, and I don’t want this to be one. The English is read against the Japanese scene by scene and rewritten wherever it reads like a machine wrote it. The 1994 Sega CD localization is a reference for terminology and tone where the scenes overlap, not a source. Names follow the Japanese, so the subtitles match what the voice actors say.”

Their effort doesn’t stop there. They even created an entire tool to verify every scene and vocal line: “The review is done in a tool built for it: every line of a scene on one row, with the speaker, the Japanese with furigana, the English, and a button that plays the voice line straight off the disc. A headless harness plays the game and photographs every subtitle, and every reported bug has a save attached so it can be reached again.”

FFVII comes to mind. A lot of the additional content in Remake is based on cut content that exists in the original game's files. But why was it cut? My guess is that an executive decision was made to focus more on Aerith during the midgar portion, rather than characters like Jesse.

Deleted scenes in movies, on the other hand, I feel are more widely accepted as being cut to focus more on the central ideas of the work or to tighten the pace. I rarely see this attitude when it comes to cut content in games.

As an addendum to this thread, I think it's really interesting how gamers respond to cut content. It's always viewed as a missed opportunity, "they didn't have enough time", etc., but never as an actual artistic choice on the director's part.

Killer7 famously has an assload of cut content. No More Heroes 3 has what, 3 hours of removed cutscenes? I'm sure RIADM would have been different under different circumstances, they've said as much, but that knowledge does not invalidate the story that made it to the final cut.
