Week 4 once again proving that anybody who starts making grand proclamations about a team being washed before week 4 will never learn.

Have never really thought about it tbh, but one weird thing about social media is that no one knows how old anyone is on here is, so a lot of people just kind of operate under the assumption that everyone is The Universal Age. Forever grateful I did not grow up on social media.

Have only played the opening 2 hours of it, but Silent Hill Townfall might have my favorite world design in a game this year off the bat. Impressive than it builds this feeling of a ghost town without really leaning on decay. Puts a muted color palette and to great work. Mundane and dreary!

One thing I love about Galactic Racer is that so many racing games are all about giving you control of a luxurious, sleek vehicle, and in this game, all the cars are absolute pieces of shit that are seconds away from exploding at all times. Unstable, hack scrap jobs.

I know that its a cheeky trick previously pulled by Gotti, but kinda fuck with Digger dropping good and bad pullquotes in its new marketing push and positioning it as a polarizing thing worth discussing. Low key kinda like framing it as an invitation to a social watercooler.

regrettably, I've been listening on loop for the entire day UFO50 has a great chiptune soundtrack, and the decision to up the baseline in the production of this really makes it land this Geto Boys + Mortol one bangs but the entire mix tape is great www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrkT...

its wild that you could become a mainstream hit band in the late 90s/early 2000s by writing a song with lyrics like “wocky-wocky-ba-badingy-ba-rokonky-konk-YEAH”

Here's something fun as hell for the weekend: the co-creator of Trombone Champ (of @holywowstudios.bsky.social) made a 2-hour long UFO 50 hip-hop mashup album featuring a track for all 50 games. And it fucking rules. www.polygon.com/ufo-50-mashu...

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is the shot in the arm the arcade racing genre has been waiting for. Fast, frenetic, and fun. It's a reminder of what the genre can be when it is willing to push boundaries and the speed limit. My review: www.gamerguides.com/star-wars-ga...

Love Star Wars: Galactic Racer. An inspired use Star Wars as a base to build on. One thing I love about its roguelite-influenced campaign is that it feels both new and modern but also so rooted in classic racing games too. Retains the feel of replaying a Grand Prix until you build the skill to win.

Reflecting on the Resident Evil movie, and a thematic takeaway that's sticking with me with me is that it posits that no matter how insecure and incompetent you feel, you will never be as stupid as the people in power whose real incompetence will fuck up your life way worse than you could yourself.

Okay yeah on reflection, I have determined that I am not joking here. Fabio’s actor is doing so much to make this weirdo a clear and faraway standout in a game with like 100 characters. A uniquely bizarre performance delivered with the seriousness of a Shakespeare actor. Shit rocks.
