Having grown up in Wales, I can testify that if you are actually worried about your culture and history being under threat, the thing to do is write poetry and songs, perform plays, tell stories and organise festivals, not just sit around whining.

I was once at a silent disco in a train museum, one of the ones where there are two *ahem* tracks to select between, with 2 DJs. One was playing dance-pop, the other mostly soul bangers, and the crowd's choice somewhat divided on age lines. The younger ones thought we'd gone mad when this dropped.

That would also look pretty great on the prow of a boat, assuming they had access to that sort of boat there and then.

A barbershop called Chaps will play deafening stomp clap hey garbage and charge you £54 to make your head look like an iced gem, whereas a place called Boss Cutz will give you the best haircut you've ever had in your life & it'll only cost you £15.

If you want gentle comedy then I really enjoyed Ghosts. The UK original is the best one but the US one is not without its charms, and there's bloody loads of it.

"My Neighbour Totoro" has impeccable vibes, along with "Ponyo". And the visuals are amazing even if he's too young for the plot. Both are very gentle and can be enjoyed by the whole family.

I’d like to add that frustration tolerance is good to learn just so you can learn new skills generally. Learning new skills can be extremely frustrating. For example, art was so hard for me at first, I’m just really stubborn so I stuck with it and eventually learned something after a few years.

Before he was Scrooge... He was a guy in the place with a bittersweet face. His friends called him Eezer and he was the main geezer and he vibed about the place like no other man could. Refined, sublime, he made you feel fine, though very much maligned and misunderstood.

RIP to the incomparable Sam Neill
How long has it been since you've seen the original "Jurassic Park"?

SAM NEILL The last time I watched it in its totality was sitting beside Princess Di at Leicester Square at the London opening.
On the other side of me was my son Tim - he was 11 and completely swept away by it, but about the time the T-Rex turns up, Tim started to fart. And the draft was drifting across me to royalty! I spent the whole film in a muck sweat, thinking, "Princess Di is being exposed to the horrors of a little boy's fart, but she's going to think it's me. I am going to be subliminally blamed for my son's crimes, and I don't think she'll talk to me afterwards." But she was well brought up and never mentioned it.
JEFF GOLDBLUM I love that story, Sam.
I've heard him tell that a couple of times, and it's just amazing the lengths that he will go to still blame the boy.

It delegitimises an election he would probably win if they stood for it, that he forced to happen to avoid a financial investigation. Now it just looks like him wasting everyone's time and money, and if he gets back in, the investigation starts up, and he can't claim to be the peoples choice.
