'Geometrische Formen' #FotoVorschlag Mit fehlt der Kontext. Sieht aus, als ob die Statue einen Fußballschal trägt. Was die Blöcke davor zu suchen haben, weiß ich auch nicht. Weiter zur linken steht ein Hindutempel mit komplizierter Geometrie.
A barely sunset picture of a gilded statue , slim and with raised arms, adorned with a white and red garland. In front of the statue a pile of large beige-to-orange blocks has been piled up. The background is formed by a flat-roofed building with a fine-toothed edge; a brick wall shelters the temple complex. (Temple not included. It’s large and white and ornate. The blocks are completely out of keeping.)

I had considered Elgar a reputable publisher until now. Equating ‘woke left ideologues’ with Nazis is a bold move. Spouting nonsense about human races is something that should have been struck down at the proposal stage. Do not sit down with Nazis. Do not publish Nazis. Why is this so difficult?

This afternoon in Marble Hill, a New Yorker was shot by an ICE agent in a residential neighborhood. Early reports indicate agents surrounded him and a 5-year-old child in his car before firing multiple rounds. We believe the child was physically unharmed.

This is an unconscionable and incredibly serious situation. I have called the President; when we speak I will demand that he ends all ICE enforcement actions in our city. I will not stand by while ICE agents terrorize our communities.

Our thoughts are with the injured New Yorker and his family tonight. We are praying for his recovery.

Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children.

Abolish ICE.

The average increase on code volume after the adoption of agentic AI studying 700 firms is 4,000 additional lines of code per programmer. The advantage of junior engineers writing code without the use of AI is senior engineers had to spend less time on code reviews.

We’ve had companies who only want to hire trained staff for years. They now found a perfect solution… until they find they need senior coders and there are none coming through the pipeline. Training staff is part of your job. If you don’t treat them like shit, most won’t want to leave.

As a newer coder, I would have delved straight into the project, written the obvious solution, had it fail, then tweaked it and found so many more issues. The result always needed refactoring. Now I do that work on paper and only write code when I’m certain. Vibe coders won’t learn that skill.

Green_Knight @green-knight.bsky.social · 08/10/2026
This means that I’ll decide what will solve my problem. I’ll look for a solution, try it out in isolation, test it to see whether it meets my requirements, possibly rewrite it using better architecture, drop it into the project, see whether it integrates well. A moderately small amount of code.

Anyone who measured productivity in lines of code written doesn’t understand the assignment anyway. Yes, AI will make _those_ numbers go up. So what? Spaghetti code, repetitions, and a thousand other bad habits will produce more code. I write little code. I try to get things right first time.

Canada is refusing to issue ISBNs to books primarily generated with AI. This illustrates both the urgency of the problem of the growing flood of slop books, and also the toothlessness of addressing it on the honor system without there also being consequences for lying
Use of artificial intelligence
By registering with ISBN Canada, you declare that your book was created by a human author. You may use AI tools only for limited support tasks, such as brainstorming ideas, checking grammar, or formatting your book. You must not use AI to generate the text, create the artwork, or translate the book. ISBN Canada does not issue ISBNs for works whose content is primarily generated by AI. They quoted me in this New Yorker piece about AI today. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...
“Let’s say there’s a world or time line I exist in where A.I. has been subject to regulation. It is ethical. It has no footprint environmentally,” the novelist Jeff VanderMeer, a prominent critic of A.I., told me over the phone. “With those guardrails in place, would I read an A.I. book? All I can say is no. And the reason is, in part, because I want to read something coming from a particular mind.” Using A.I., he said, “feels like a betrayal of the whole point of why you’re a writer.”

Ukrainian female soldier: Okay, I said the idea is this: There is enough time to empty one full can of 32 grenades and be gone by the time the return mortar fire reaches us. I did the math.
