The NZ Govt charges the same Road User Charge to a small electric car as it charges a giant 3.5 tonne diesel SUV. Giant cars cause more road damage, more injuries and deaths to pedestrians, cyclists and children, more climate and air pollution. It is a bizarre subsidy and it needs to change.

Apparently, in Feb alone National spent $92,000 on ads 😱😱😱 it seems that wealthy donors who've done well under Luxon want 3 more years of the same - and they're paying good money to make sure of it. It might've been a good 3yrs for the very wealthy, but it's been grim AF for the rest of us.

Where has this year gone?! Hard to believe that in just two short months, “What If You Could” will be coming out. When I wrote my memoir I told a friend that, in part, it was aimed at my fourteen-year-old self. I never quite imagined having the opportunity to work with @rubyreadwrite and a group of amazing publishers to have it adapted into a book aimed specifically at young people. But here it is, and I couldn’t be more excited.
It will be released in the first week of June in the US (with the red, white and blue cover), the UK (with the orange cover), and of course New Zealand and Australia (the yellow and black cover!)
If I can convince just one young person in this chaotic and difficult world that they can make a difference (just as they are), then this book will have been worth creating.
