Anyone looking for some brain candy/procrastination fodder today? I'm planning a charades-style game for a our Messy Church tomorrow evening. Looking for absurd scenarios that they can act out. Things like "a mouse wearing a hat made of ice cream" or "a boat full of balloons sailing to the moon".

If the Sox losing is the price of getting rid of Susan Collins, I am willing to pay it. (I also feel vindicated in my decision to pay very little attention to the Red Sox this season, both when they were historically terrible and when they weren't.)

Patriarchal culture uses rape as a tool of subjugation. It’s a threat that goes beyond bodily harm—I am in you, I own you, I can impregnate you and force you to carry a piece of me inside you. It’s the weapon of hatred and cowardice. It’s insidious. It’s everywhere. It’s in the Oval Office.

Anyway, the Iran conflict is probably one of the less destructive ways Trump could detonate his political power. Albeit still hugely destructive. But at least we're getting a forced green energy transition and electrification (much stronger than any politically viable federal incentive).
